Jan 29, 2010 — Sirolimus Causes Cell Death in Mesothelioma
Standard treatments for malignant pleural mesothelioma, a cancer primarily caused by exposure to asbestos, have not been very effective. One novel approach being investigated is combining sirolimus with a common chemotherapy drug, Cisplatin, to see if treatment might not improve.
